How to correctly use H07V-U cable: a comprehensive guide

What is H07V-U?

The H07V-K consists of one or more solid copper conductors wrapped in a layer of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation. This design makes it have higher mechanical strength and better wear resistance. It is usually used for fixed wiring, used as a backbone in the walls or ceilings of buildings.

H07V-K is characterized by simple structure, relatively cheap price, and has good heat resistance.

Scope of use:

The H07V-K is mainly used for fixed wiring in buildings, including lighting, sockets and other electrical connections, such as power supply lines inside walls, under floors or in ceilings. Due to its design bias towards fixed installation, it is not suitable for frequent movement or bending.

Usage scenario:

Electrical wiring for homes and offices.
Fixed line installation inside the building.

Risk and structure:

Risk: If improperly installed or the use environment is not suitable, it may lead to fire, electric shock and other safety hazards.
Overload: The use of a current exceeding its rated current may cause overheating.

Corrosive gases: Avoid exposing H07V-K to corrosive gases to avoid damage to the insulation layer.

Not applicable environment:

Mobile devices: Because the H07V-K is designed for fixed installation, it is not suitable for appliances or equipment that move frequently.
High radiation area: A high dose of radioactive environment may accelerate the aging of the insulation material, and it is not appropriate to use ordinary BV wire.
Extreme temperatures: Operating environments beyond the above temperature range, such as very high or very low temperatures, may affect the performance and life of the BV line.
Wet or waterlogged environments: Although the BV cable has certain waterproof properties, it is not suitable for prolonged immersion in water or under conditions of continuous high humidity.
