The development of drip free impregnated paper insulation has solved the problem of drip limit, allowing oil immersed paper insulated cables to continue to be widely used. 2. The insulation layer of plastic insulated power cables is an extruded plastic power cable. Commonly used plastics include polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, and cross-linked polyethylene. The plastic cable has a simple structure, convenient manufacturing and processing, light weight, convenient installation, and is not limited by the laying height. Therefore, it is widely used as medium and low voltage cables and has a trend of replacing adhesive impregnated oil-paper cables. Its main drawback is the phenomenon of dendrite breakdown, which limits its application at higher voltages. 3. The insulation layer of rubber insulated power cables is formed by fully mixing rubber and various additives, squeezing them onto the conductive wire core, and then heating and vulcanizing them. Soft and elastic, suitable for frequent movement and small bending radius during laying.
The outer layer of Linyi power cables is generally made of rubber or rubber synthetic sleeves, used to insulate and protect the cables from damage. Power cables are divided into high-voltage cables and low-voltage cables. If it is high-voltage, there will be a layer of resin like filling inside, which serves as insulation. In high-voltage cables, this layer is an important part of insulation. There is no such thing as a low-voltage cable, and there will be something like a ribbon wrapped inside to fix each core wire of the cable and fill the gap in the middle. The shielding layer of power cables has two functions: firstly, because the current passing through the power cable is relatively high, a magnetic field will be generated around the current, so in order not to affect other components, the shielding layer can shield the electromagnetic field in the cable; Secondly, it can play a certain role in grounding protection. If the cable core is damaged, the leakage current can follow the shielding layer flow of the grounding grid, providing safety protection.
