BTTZ is a rigid mineral insulated cable with fire resistance performance. The commonly used mineral insulated cables on the market are basically improved on the standard fire resistance performance of BTTZ cables, and are also the most expensive mineral insulated cable models. In the fire protection design specifications of building engineering, mineral insulated cables must be used for the fire protection system. BTTZ is one type of mineral cable, and other models include yttw, btly, bbtrz, etc; It is composed of a copper core copper sheath and magnesium oxide insulation material, using a drawing process and annealing treatment. It is a true fireproof cable that can maintain normal power supply for more than 3 hours at 950 ℃~1000 ℃ in a fire.

Characteristics of BTTZ cable
It has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, fire prevention, explosion prevention, non combustion (can operate continuously for a long time at 250 ℃, and can also operate for a short time at 1000 ℃ limit state for 30 minutes), large current carrying capacity, small outer diameter, high mechanical strength, long service life, and generally does not require an independent grounding wire.
Application scope of BTTZ cable
Widely used in hazardous, harsh, and high-temperature environments such as nuclear power plants, metallurgy, chemicals, mines, and kilns. In recent years, it has also been widely used in high-rise buildings, airports, docks, subways, and other places to ensure uninterrupted operation of fire water pumps, fire elevators, local lighting, emergency evacuation instructions, security monitoring, fire prevention and exhaust systems, as well as self-contained power supplies and other important equipment in case of fire.
Advantages of BTTZ cable
1. Fully fireproof. The BTTZ cable itself is completely non combustible and does not cause a source of ignition. Burning in flames with a flame temperature lower than the copper melting point temperature, the cable can still be used normally after the flame is extinguished in the later stage.
2. Strong overload protection capability. When the line is overloaded, as long as the heating does not reach the melting point temperature of copper, the cable will not be damaged.
3. High operating temperature. The melting point temperature of magnesium oxide crystal in the insulation layer of BTTZ cable is much higher than that of copper, so the normal working temperature can reach 250 ℃.
4. Excellent anti-corrosion and explosion-proof performance. The seamless copper pipe sheath has the functions of waterproof, moisture-proof, and chemical corrosion resistance, and the use of copper pipes has explosion-proof performance.
5. Long lifespan. BTTZ cables are all made of inorganic materials, so there is no insulation aging and their service life can reach more than three times that of ordinary cables
Disadvantages of BTTZ cable
1. High cost. The cables are all made of special materials and contain more copper than ordinary cables, so the overall price is about 30% higher than ordinary cables.
2. The construction is difficult. BTTZ belongs to the category of rigid mineral insulated cables, with higher hardness and weight than ordinary cables, making construction difficult.
3. Large workload. BTTZ cables exceeding 35mm are all single core cables, which will increase the production of a large number of intermediate joints and greatly increase the construction workload.
